To ensure the electric forklift operates, the battery is an essential component. Not only does it provide the necessary power, but the battery also directly affects the operational process and lifespan of the forklift. Therefore, proper maintenance and usage of the battery help reduce repair and replacement costs. This way, users can maximize the effectiveness of the equipment. Below are the guidelines for usage and charging standards.
Charging Instructions:
- The charger must be compatible with the battery in terms of voltage and charging capacity.
- Before charging, check all cables, connectors, and plugs to see if the battery or charger shows any signs of damage.
- Connect the battery connector to the charging cable of the fixed battery charger and turn on the battery charger.
- During charging, the battery vent must be exposed at least 200 mm for adequate ventilation.
Charging Room Standards:
- Ventilation in the battery charging area
- No smoking in the charging area.
- Do not place flammable materials or objects that can create sparks within a minimum distance of 2.5 meters.
- Do not place any metal objects on top of the battery.
Notes for Using the Battery:
- Fill the battery with distilled water, replenishing it once a day regularly.
- The water used to fill the battery is distilled water; do not substitute it with any other type of water.
- Only use the battery after it has been charged to 100%.
- If the battery cap is bulging, the battery cables are swollen, or there is green, white, or yellow residue, you should contact technical support for inspection.
- Clean the surface regularly to reduce the risk of electrical conductivity and leakage.
